They Shall Seek Death And Not Find It

They Shall Seek Death And Not Find It

Revelation 9:6 KJV “And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.”

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Which of us mortals can say we understand everything about death? Who better knows these things but God? The Bible speaks of a time when people will prefer death over life but death will elude them. I believe we are in that time and it’s going to get worse.

LET’S LOOK AT DEATH

Matthew 10:21 KJV “And the brother shall deliver up the brother to DEATH, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against [their] parents, and cause them to be put to death.”

This passage uses the same Greek word for death found in Revelation 9:6. It’s talking about physical death.

Matthew 16:28 KJV “Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of DEATH, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.”

This verse uses the same Greek word for death in Revelation 9:6 also but is an enigma. What does Jesus mean by, ‘Some standing here will not taste death until they see Him coming in His kingdom?’ Are not all the people who heard Jesus say these words about 2000 years ago dead? Our understanding of death and God’s are quite different.

And what about this passage:

Matthew 9:24 ESV “He said, “Go away, for the girl is not dead but sleeping.” And they laughed at him.”

Jesus was about to raise a man’s daughter from the dead. He told those present the girl was not dead but sleeping. What Jesus said sounded so ludicrous they laughed at Him. Again death to us and death to God can be quite different. Could the people seeking death and not being able to find it in Revelation 9:6 be similar? Might there be something we’re missing here? Might their desiring to die and death fleeing from them mean something uncomplicated?

THEY WILL SEEK DEATH BUT NOT FIND IT

Those in Revelation 9 who do not have God’s seal (Ephesians 1:13) are tormented by creatures from the bottomless pit. (Revelation 9:4) They have rejected God. Hence God’s judgment. They are in so much pain they want to die and death flees from them. We’ve been taught this means they will try to commit suicide but will not be able to. But let’s be honest, did the Bible say that? No. Some believe the gene editing technology we know exists today will make this theory possible. Basically these folks are genetically modified not to die. Through the contrivance of men they have been given artificial eternal life of some sorts some believe. But can anything created by man or Satan cause God’s word to be null and void. What I mean is passages like this:

Romans 6:23 KJV]“For the wages of sin [is] death.”

Romans 5:12 H’CSB “Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, in this way death spread to all men, because all sinned.”

John 3:16 KJV “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Eternal life comes only by believing in Jesus Christ. Is it realistic to believe that something created by sinful men or the Devil can give eternal life? Does the Devil have life in himself in order to do such a thing? (John 10:10) Could Revelation 9:6; men, “shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them,” mean even if they commit suicide they will find themselves in the second death? The lake of fire? This would indeed be death fleeing from them. The type of death these sufferers want is sleep (Matthew 9:24); rest from their pain. (Job 3:20-22) But as scripture says there is no rest for the wicked. (Isaiah 57:20-21, 48:22) They get the second death. (Revelation 21:8 Matthew 25:41) Only the righteous find rest and peace as they lie in death. (Isaiah 57:1-2)

THE LOCUSTS SCORPION TAIL PLAGUE

Revelation 9:10 ESV “They have tails and stings like scorpions, and their power to hurt people for five months is in their tails.”

The creatures released from the bottomless pit wreak havoc on rebellious mankind. This is a judgment from Almighty God. Even if one should take his/her life to avoid the plague, it’s hopping out of the frying pan and into the lake of fire. Indeed death does flee from them; that is the type of death they want, which is rest from pain and suffering. The entities from the bottomless pit in Revelation 9 are like swarms of locusts. There are many. They are a frightening, destructive, organized army. God’s elect won’t be harmed by them. They are only allowed to hurt those who do not have the seal of God in their foreheads. (Revelation 9:4) We know that these beings are evil spirits because they come from the bottomless pit. (Revelation 9:1-3 Luke 8:27-31) Yes, they are evil spirits. Yet many expect this prophecy to be fulfilled by seeing them with the naked eye? They think, “No way this can be going on now.” “Do we see locusts with scorpion tails stinging people?” But is this reasoning consistent with scripture? Seeing evil spirits with the naked eye? Or is seeing the effects produced by evil spirits consistent with scripture? Let’s look at some effects produced by evil spirits:

Luke 9:38-39 NET “Then a man from the crowd cried out, “Teacher, I beg you to look at my son – he is my only child! 39 A SPIRIT SEIZES HIM, and he suddenly screams; IT THROWS HIM INTO CONVULSIONS [violent body shakes] and causes him to foam at the mouth. It hardly ever leaves him alone, TORTURING HIM SEVERELY.”

Matthew 17:15-18 ESV “Said, “Lord, have mercy on my son, for HE HAS SEIZURES and he suffers terribly. For often he falls into the fire, and often into the water. 16 And I brought him to your disciples, and they could not heal him.” 17 And Jesus answered, “O faithless and twisted generation, how long am I to be with you? How long am I to bear with you? Bring him here to me.” 18 And JESUS REBUKED THE DEMON [or evil spirt], and it came out of him, and the boy was healed instantly.”

Matthew 8:5-6 ASV “And when he was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him, 6 and saying, Lord, my servant lieth in the house SICK OF THE PALSY, grievously TORMENTED.”

In each of these scripture passages we see some of the harmful effects produced by evil spirits. But we do not see the demons with our naked eye.

YOU WILL KNOW THEM BY THEIR FRUIT

Jesus teaches us to discern things by the type of fruit it bears. (Matthew 7:15-20) Let’s see what fruit the evil spirits from the bottomless pit in Revelation 9 produce:

Revelation 9:5 KJV “And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be TORMENTED five months: and THEIR TORMENT [WAS] AS THE TORMENT OF A SCORPION, WHEN HE STRIKETH A MAN.”

These evil spirits from the bottomless pit are tormentors. And their torment is like being stung by a scorpion, the Bible says. Now it gets very interesting. I beg you to research the effects of being stung by a scorpion. Look at picture illustrations, videos, etcetera. Then research the adverse effects of those stung by the covid shots. Look up picture illustrations, videos, etcetera for these as well and compare them. Alternative media sources will give you the best results. See if there is a match. What if there is a perfect match? If there is, you too may discover a Revelation in Revelation chapter 9. Seeing the effects produced by evil spirits is how we discern them. (1 Corinthians 12:4-6, 10 Ephesians 6:12) If you do this little bit of research I encourage you to do, you may discover something else as well. You may uncover the bottomless pit has already opened, which is why we see so much hell on earth today.

Be encouraged brethren, the time is oh so short. Don’t take the mark of the beast!
