Are You Afraid To Tell The Truth?🤔

Are You Afraid To Tell The Truth?🤔

When asked this question many Christians will say things like, “No, I speak up for my Lord, I’m a soldier for Christ!”😠 etcetera. But let me ask this question another way: Do you worry that if you say what the Bible says exactly the way it says it, you might hurt somebody’s feelings? If the answer is, “Yes,” you’re afraid to tell the truth. And if we remain in that state Satan’s TRICK has worked on you or me. Jesus says it’s THE TRUTH that sets us free. (John 8:32) Now ain’t nobody getting set free because people entrusted with the truth are walking around on eggshells afraid of hurting someone’s feelings. Brilliant Satan real brilliant.

Pray for boldness and tell the truth.😊

SAD😓

Sad😓

I woke up this morning with this strongly on my heart and mind and believe I am supposed to say it. You know the saddest thing is to think you have a close relationship with God and you’re going against Him by ignoring His word. God may use another to show us with solid scriptures that our actions, desires, goals, aspirations don’t line up with His word and we shrug it off like, “So what?” and continue on our way. The Bible says the one who hates correction is stupid:

Proverbs 12:1 KJV “Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish.”

This makes me very sad. Why? Because I know that the owner of this attitude is headed for hell.😓 How are we serving the God of the Bible when we refuse to accept what the Bible says? We’re not. We’re serving our own lust and we’re using God to do it. A huge mistake.

Then Satan gets in our heads and tells us things like, “You’re right, they’re all wrong. Look at how BLESSED you are. Look at everything God has BLESSED you with. Look at what you have. Would you have all this if God was displeased with you?” Yes Satan gets us to look at ourselves and our material possessions and view them as evidence that God must be pleased with us. And you know why it’s so easy to fall for this trick? Because again we don’t respect the Bible, that’s evident by the fact that we reject Biblical counsel. If we were really seeking God’s glory He would reveal certain things to us, things like He is a generous giver and not only to His children. God is known for giving liberally even to His enemies. Remember, “Jacob I loved, Esau I hated?” (Romans 9:13) Though Jacob got the birthright blessing God still blessed Esau materially. Yet he was God’s enemy.🤔 Pharaoh was God’s enemy too and he was blessed with plenty, so was Herod. We could go on and on about enemies of God whom God allowed to amass great wealth. So having plenty materially is not the barometer that one has God’s approval. In fact most of the righteous in the Bible are said to have very little. But they have God.😊

James‬ ‭1:9‬ ‭NLT‬‬ “Believers who are poor have something to boast about, for God has honored them.”

James 1:9 KJV “Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted.”

1 Corinthians‬ ‭1:26-29‬ ‭NLT‬‬ “Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that few of you were wise in the world’s eyes or powerful or wealthy when God called you. Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful. God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important. As a result, no one can ever boast in the presence of God.”

IN CONCLUSION

Dear brothers and sisters if someone (ANYONE) shows us scripture that contradicts our actions, goals, desires, aspirations, etcetera, don’t you know that God is using them to help you?🤔 We ALL get it wrong sometimes. Receiving godly counsel is all a part of this walk. Let us please accept Biblical counsel and repent when we see that what we want and what the scriptures say are at odds. We don’t lose cool points with God because we got it wrong. We sin daily. God knows that. (Romans 3:23) Remember, Jesus disciples got it wrong often, even leaving Him all alone in his darkest hour. Yet he lovingly corrected and forgave them. We gain cool points with God when we show that we can readily accept Biblical correction.😊 Otherwise what we are doing is not really unto God, it’s all about self.

Proverbs‬ ‭10:17‬ ‭TPT‬‬ “If you readily receive correction, you are walking on the path to life. But if you reject rebuke, you’re guaranteed to go astray.”
‭‭
Proverbs‬ ‭27:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬ “Open rebuke is better Than secret love.”
‭‭
Proverbs 15:10 KJV “Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die.”

Have we forsaken the way?🤔 Has Satan tricked us into thinking we have a good relationship with God when we don’t, which is evident by the fact that we despise someone using the Bible to correct us?🤔 Remember, all we have to do is confess it to God and repent and HE WILL FORGIVE US.😊 Let’s get back on the path to life.😊 I love you which is why I wrote this. I’m fighting hard to follow this counsel too.

Slow Down

Slow Down

Ecclesiastes 9:11 KJV “…The race is not to the swift…”

___________________________________________________________________________________________________

How often do we hear advice encouraging us to slow down? “Speed up!” “Go faster!” is what the boss says at the job. ‘This phone is faster, that computer is quicker, this internet service is the fastest,’ is what we hear. Rush to do this hasten to do that. When I was growing up as a youngster in the 80s speed was a popular drug. Seems like it still is.

I’ve been hearing a different voice lately; a quiet still voice inside that says, “Slow down.” What is that voice, or WHO is that voice? Am I going crazy? I don’t think so.🤪 I believe that voice to be God. Why? Because everything God says is always opposite of what this world says and vice versa.

Isaiah 55:8-9 HCSB ““For My thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not My ways.” This is the Lord’s declaration. “For as heaven is higher than earth, so My ways are higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.”

To illustrate just how opposite our thinking is from God’s here’s a quote from the article, “God’s Ways Not Man’s Ways,” Endtimeschoices’s Blog on WordPress: (Yes it’s spelled that way)

“To go in, one must come out. (John 15:19)

To go up, one must come down. (James 4:10)

To be first, one must be last. (Matthew 20:16)

To be great, one must be least. (Luke 9:48)

To be strong, one must become weak. (2 Corinthians 12:10)

To receive one must give. (Matthew 10:39)

To be up in front, one must take the back seat. (Luke 14:7-11)

To be exalted one must be humbled. (Luke 14:11)

To be wise, one must become a fool. (1 Corinthians 3:18)

To find, one must lose. (Matthew 16:25)

To live, one must die. (Galatians 2:20; Jn 3:3)

The above scripture passages aren’t foreign to most of us but seeing them all grouped together can be daunting. Yet this is God’s way, the right way. Oh how our thinking is so different from God’s!😞

So when we hear a voice inside us saying, “Slow down,” in a world that’s always saying, “Speed up!” chances are it may be God.😊 Ask yourself, do plans usually succeed when I rush or when I don’t? Do I leave the house and forget things when I’m rushed or when I’m not?  Do people pick the right boyfriend, girlfriend, husband or wife when they move fast or when they move slow? You know the answer to these questions. Let us slow our roll y’all. Not only will we make better decisions, we will savor the joys of life. That’s right, even in this wicked, sick, witchcraft world one can experience joys in life as God intended. Patience is the key.😊

Psalms 145:16 HCSB “You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing.”

Psalms 16:11 HCSB “You reveal the path of life to me; in Your presence is abundant joy; in Your right hand are eternal pleasures.”

Psalm 37:4 KJV “Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.”

Slow down and enjoy life. Life has a rhythm. The tempo is set by God. Don’t dance ahead of the beat. Get in step with the Holy Spirit. Swim with (not against) God’s current and live FOREVER!😊
