Only God Truly Heals

Only God Truly Heals

2 Chronicles 16:12-13 NLT “In the thirty-ninth year of his reign, Asa developed a serious foot disease. Yet even with the severity of his disease, he did not seek the LORD’s help but turned only to his physicians. [13] So he died in the forty-first year of his reign.”

_______________________________________________________________________________________________

Don’t you get the feeling that King Asa should have consulted the Lord instead of only his physicians?🤔 His illness got worse and two years later he died. Are folks (especially believers) making the same mistake during this pandemic? God is more than capable of healing any disease. Yet many are running to physicians instead of God like Asa. Sadly, many of these are believers; folks who say they believe in God’s healing power. Why are those who claim to believe in God rushing to man to be healed instead of turning to the Lord? They fear the government who threatens to take their stuff instead of fearing God. They fear losing their jobs, their homes, cars, their tech toys, etcetera if they refuse to take the jab.💉🧬 But they don’t think about the possibility of losing their souls?🤔

“I AM THE LORD WHO HEALS YOU.”

Exodus 15:26 AMP ‘ “If you will diligently listen and pay attention to the voice of the Lord your God, and do what is right in His sight, and listen to His commandments, and keep [foremost in your thoughts and actively obey] all His precepts and statutes, then I will not put on you any of the diseases which I have put on the Egyptians; for I AM THE LORD WHO HEALS YOU.” ‘

Psalm 91:1-16 KJV “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. [2] I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. [3] Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. [4] He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. [5] Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; [6] Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. [7] A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. [8] Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. [9] Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; [10] There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. [11] For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. [12] They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. [13] Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. [14] Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. [15] He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. [16] With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.”

This is God’s promise to ALL who have set their affections on Him!😄 Do you believe Him? I’ll confess when I first read Psalm 91 years ago I said, “WOW!” I’ll confess it sounded too good to be true; God saving me from diseases and all. I wavered in faith regarding God’s promise. I feel bad to this day for doing so😓 especially after God has saved me not only from sickness but even death. Recently I got sicker than I’d ever been in my entire life! I had stuff going on that made me feel like I’m about to die this time. This is it. People told me to go to physicians etcetera because the kind of pain I was suffering doesn’t go away on it’s own. And normally it doesn’t. Instead I trusted in the Lord, not man, and the Lord healed me.😊 I begged God in prayer to help me and He did!😂 Whatever anyone believes regarding this is their business, I know that only God truly heals and I choose to trust in God over physicians when it comes to my health. The Lord would never prescribe me a bunch of pills and medication that has so many side effects (makes me sicker). I know the above passages about the Lord’s power to heal are true. He is more than able to keep those who love Him safe from and through ANY diseases.😊

WHOM WILL YOU SERVE?

If you’ve studied the Bible for just a little while you’ve learned that who you obey is who you serve. Who you choose to obey is your master. Whom will we serve? The Lord, the God of the Bible, or the gods of Egypt and Greece?🤔 Did you know that modern medicine has it’s roots in ancient Egypt? That’s right. Back then the practicers of medicine and administering of drugs weren’t called doctors, they were called magicians. Did you know that the serpent on the pole logo associated with all modern day medicine and health is a symbol of the Greek god Asclepius? It’s called, “The Rod Of Asclepius.” This god is known as the god of medicine and healing. You can find this snake on the pole logo everywhere. It is used by the World Health Organization, hospitals, and anything dealing with medication and health. But this serpents on a pole actually dates back to ancient Egypt. They had it too. And yes, it was the god of health and healing. In Almighty God’s eyes this is pagan idolatry; the worship of demons. He alone is, “THE LORD WHO HEALS YOU.” And God will not share His glory with any other gods or idols. How many today are being tricked into putting their trust in false gods and man by putting their faith in modern medicine over Almighty God?🤔

WHAT IS PHARMAKEIA?

In the Bible the Greek word (pharmakeia) pops up 3 times in the New Testament. The english word for pharmakeia is, “Pharmacy,” like a pharmacy, a drug store. Hmmmmmm, that’s interesting.🤔 What’s even more interesting is the 3 places in the New Testament where this Greek word is found the english words, “Witchcraft, Sorcery, Magic Arts, etcetera” appear.😳 Check any Greek Lexicon for the definition of Pharmakeia and you will find definitions like these:

1.the use or the administering of drugs
2.poisoning
3.spells
4.sorcery, magical arts, often found in connection with idolatry and fostered by it
5.metaph. the deceptions and seductions of idolatry

WOW!😳 Here are the 3 places in the New Testament where this Greek word, “Pharmakeia,” is found: Galatians 5:20, Revelation 9:21, and Revelation 18:23. In Revelation 18:23 it reads:

Revelation 18:23 KJV “And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for BY THY SORCERIES WERE ALL THE NATIONS DECEIVED.”

If you read Revelation chapter 18 you will find that God describes an end times powerful ruling entity called Babylon The Great. God says of Babylon, ‘BY THY SORCERIES ALL THE NATIONS WERE DECEIVED!’😳 Remember what the Greek word for sorcery (pharmakeia/pharmacy) means:

1.the use or the administering of drugs
2.poisoning
3.spells
4.sorcery, magical arts, often found in connection with idolatry and fostered by it
5.metaph. the deceptions and seductions of idolatry

I ask, do you see any ruling entity today deceiving the whole world by these means?🤔 Has the whole world been administered drugs? Poison? Has the whole world been put under a spell? Are magical arts and idolatry being forced on all the nations? Has the whole world been deceived? Yes. Pharmakeia (witchcraft) is being practiced on all the nations indeed! Don’t be a partaker in this. Trust only in God who truly heals you.

Revelation 18:1-5 NLT “After all this I saw another angel come down from heaven with great authority, and the earth grew bright with his splendor. [2] He gave a mighty shout: “Babylon is fallen-that great city is fallen! She has become a home for demons. She is a hideout for every foul spirit, a hideout for every foul vulture and every foul and dreadful animal. [3] For all the nations have fallen because of the wine of her passionate immorality. The kings of the world have committed adultery with her. Because of her desires for extravagant luxury, the merchants of the world have grown rich.” [4] Then I heard another voice calling from heaven, “Come away from her, my people. DO NOT TAKE PART IN HER SINS, or you will be punished with her. [5] For her sins are piled as high as heaven, and God remembers her evil deeds.”

How Satan Entered Judas

How Satan Entered Judas

James 5:16 NIV “Confess your sins TO EACH OTHER and pray for each other SO THAT YOU MAY BE HEALED. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”

This content is designed to help us better see what happened to Judas in the hopes that we will take heed. If at any moment while reading this you see these things happening to yourself I urge you and me to immediately pray to God for forgiveness and repent.😊

Judas was one of Jesus’ disciples who had a secret sin in his life. But he pretended that all was well and good. Basically Judas was living a double life. He used to steal money from the provisions that was set aside for the church’s needs. Some may be thinking, “What does this have to do with me?” “I’m not a thief.” Here’s the answer: My secret sin and your secret sin doesn’t have to be stealing for us to fall into the same trap Judas fell into. Sin is sin to God. We may not be getting along with other Christians in our church and pretending that all is well and good. That’s a sin. We may be secretly watching pornography and pretending to be pure, holy Christians. We may be secretly getting drunk, or using drugs, or fornicating, or lying, etcetera. In God’s book it’s all the same. It doesn’t matter what the sin is if we are not willing to seek help and confess our sins like God says we are opening ourselves up not only to demonic oppression but also demonic possession.

James 5:16 KJV “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

Proverbs 28:13 KJV “He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.”

Yes, God did say not only to confess our sins to Him but also to confess them to one another. Yes, this can be embarrassing, even humiliating. But what are we more interested in? Looking good to people? Or pleasing God and getting healed?🤔

IMAGINE BEING JUDAS

Imagine briefly being Judas. You know you have secret sin in your life (no matter what is) yet you’re pretending all is good. You’re in the presence of the holy son of God constantly, daily, where the real word is being preached. At some point this becomes torture. Let’s get one thing straight: all are guilty of sin. We’re not picking on anybody here. And we’re not isolating certain sins over others, sin is sin, it’s all no good to God. But if you and I don’t repent the way God tells us to and get help (confess your sins to one another and pray for one another) at a certain point our hearts will become hardened by sins deceptive power the Bible says. (Hebrews 3:8-13) When a person refuses to repent after hearing warning after warning after warning the Bible says God even hands them over to a reprobate mind. (Romans 1:28-32) That’s scary.😳

If you are struggling with any sin stop right now and pray to God. Tell God you’re sorry. Beg for his forgiveness. Ask Him to heal you. And seek real brothers and sisters (if just one) to pray for you and confess your sins to one another.

Once a person’s heart becomes hardened by sin encouragement even starts sounding like harsh chastisement. The person who may have once fought for the church begins attacking it. (Matthew 24:45-51) Others simply separate themselves from God’s people or put them out of their Christian fellowship (church meetings) unjustly. (John 16:2-3) There is a just, scriptural reason for not fellowshipping with any who be called brethren and are not living that life. It’s found at 1 Corinthians 5:11-13:

1 Corinthians 5:11-13 KJV “But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat. [12] For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? [13] But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.”

But the reasons listed here are not the reasons why some separate from other brethren. And sadly they have been blinded by the Devil to believe that God is on their side while doing this.😥 Some separate from one another over personal issues that can be easily handled through obedience. (Colossians 3:13 Matthew 18:15-20) Satan may not have literally possessed such a person yet but they are definitely on that path (if they do not repent).

The Bible says at a certain point Satan entered Judas. (Luke 22:2-6) He became possessed by the Devil. After this happened Judas made a pact with the chief priest to betray Jesus. This was a bold move. It takes power to do anything, right? It took power to do this too. Satan supernaturally empowered Judas to betray Jesus. In fact Judas was so emboldened by the Devil that while he betrayed Jesus he kissed him.😳 (Luke 22:47-48 Proverbs 27:6) Bold indeed! Judas completely lost his mind.

Remember, this all happened slowly, gradually, over time. And how was Satan able to get Judas to do this? Judas was sadly a phony, he was pretending to live by God’s standards. Had he repented he would have ceased to be false. He would now be real. But he chose the path of secret sin. And look where it lead him.

NOT A GOOD ENDING

After Satan used Judas to do his evil deed (betray Jesus) Judas suddenly realized what he had done. It was as if he quickly woke up from a bad dream, “Oh no, I just betrayed the son of God!”😩 This reminds me of when the Devil hoodwinked Eve in the Garden Of Eden and Adam followed her. The Bible says after they sinned their eyes were opened too and they realized they were naked. (Genesis 3:7) An unusual emotion they never felt before called FEAR gripped them both just like Judas. (Genesis 3:8-10) Hmmmmm, it appears the Devil loves to open people’s eyes by giving them unimaginable fear after he tricks them into sinning.🤔

Juda now felt remorse, so much so that he tried to give the money back he was paid for betraying Jesus. (Matthew 27:3-4) What happened to all that boldness he felt when he kissed Jesus while doing his evil deed? What happened to all that power Satan gave him? That high was now gone.😞 Satan took his power back. He didn’t need Judas anymore. And there was Judas left all alone, depressed, confused, powerless, and yes gripped with UNIMAGINABLE FEAR. That’s how Satan treats his top soldiers. What do you think the Devil got Judas to do next?

Matthew 27:5 KJV “And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.”

Sadly after Judas realized what he had done all he could think about was suicide. He hung himself. Who do you think put those thoughts in his head? The same person who put the thoughts in his head to betray Jesus. But look at how it all got started; Judas’ harboring unconfessed, unrepentant sin was his undoing. Pretending all is well and good when he knew it wasn’t made him an easy vessel for the Devil to enter. Not only did he betray Jesus he betrayed himself. Living like this guys opens doors to evil spirits. If you are struggling with any sin stop right now and pray to God. Tell God you’re sorry. Beg for his forgiveness. Ask Him to heal you. And seek real brothers and sisters (if just one) to pray for you and confess your sins to one another.

Judas became so overwhelmed by that evil voice (the Devil) in his head that he hung himself. How sad. Imagine being Judas in that moment: you think you’re relieving yourself from all that pain, fear, and guilt; the mental torment of knowing you betrayed the son of God, that it drives you to kill yourself. You may think in that hour you’re escaping the supernatural fear the Devil has caused to grip you. Then your worse nightmare happens after you die; in the blink of an eye you find yourself in hell.🔥😳 Do you see how Satan treats his servants? Even his best ones?

Mark 14:21 NET “For the Son of Man will go as it is written about him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would be better for him if he had never been born.””

There are some in rebellion against God who say, “I would never be that stupid. I would never kill myself.” How do you know? It wasn’t in Judas’ plans either. Remember, “SATAN ENTERED HIM.” Once that happens you don’t know what you will do. You are no longer in control. The main thing is to repent! So that when we die we won’t be condemned to hell, forever!😳

Matthew 5:21-22 NET ““You have heard that it was said to an older generation, ‘ Do not murder,’ and ‘whoever murders will be subjected to judgment.’ But I say to you that anyone who is angry with a brother will be subjected to judgment. And whoever insults a brother will be brought before the council, and whoever says ‘Fool’ will be sent to fiery hell.”

1 John 3:14-15 NET “We know that we have crossed over from death to life because we love our fellow Christians. The one who does not love remains in death. Everyone who hates his fellow Christian is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him.”

If you have and if I have any unconfessed, unrepentant sin in our lives let us please come clean and not pretend that all is well and good like Judas did. Let’s get some help. Let us confess our sins to God first. Then let us find (if only one) real brothers and sisters we can confide in:

James 5:16 NIV “Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other SO THAT YOU MAY BE HEALED. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”

We MUST Live This Way

We MUST Live This Way

Colossians 3:12‭-‬14 ESV “Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, FORGIVING EACH OTHER; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also MUST FORGIVE. And above all these PUT ON LOVE, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.”

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________

God says you and I, “MUST FORGIVE,” each other.” There ain’t no ifs, ands, or buts about it. It is nonnegotiable. God chose us to be the holy people He loves despite our sins, faults, and constant failures. All He ask is that we be willing to love and forgive others. He will help us do it.😊 He knows it’s not always easy. All we have to do is be willing to obey God in this. We all sin and fall short of God’s standard. (Romans 3:23) Sadly, some want God’s love, mercy, and forgiveness, but refuse to give it to others.😳 It doesn’t work that way. Anyone who says they’re a believer in Christ and holds grudges has been deceived by the devil.😓 Sometimes the hurt, the pain is so deep we block it out of our minds, but unforgiveness is still there. Let us pray to God to help us forgive. It is of the utmost importance:

Matthew 6:14-15 NLT “If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. [15] But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.”

“Walk!”

“Walk!”

Proverbs 9:7 KJV “He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot.”

_______________________________________________

Trying to force a mocker or wicked person to accept godly correction is like expecting a man with no legs to walk. He can’t do it. God says those who reprove mockers and the wicked bring disgrace, shame, and abuse to themselves. The man with no legs is crippled physically. If we think we can make wicked mockers accept God’s truth might we be crippled spiritually?🤔

Matthew 7:6 AMP “Do not give that which is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before pigs, for they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.”

This is all you can expect when you give God’s word to wicked mockers: they will trample them under their feet, “And turn and tear you to pieces.”😠

Proverbs 9:8-9 NLT “So don’t bother correcting mockers; they will only hate you. But correct the wise, and they will love you. [9] Instruct the wise, and they will be even wiser. Teach the righteous, and they will learn even more.”

The apostle Paul instructed the younger Timothy:

2 Timothy 2:2 AMP “The things [the doctrine, the precepts, the admonitions, the sum of my ministry] which you have heard me teach in the presence of many witnesses, entrust [as a treasure] to RELIABLE and FAITHFUL men who will also be CAPABLE AND QUALIFIED TO TEACH OTHERS.”

Stinky Draws And All

Stinky Draws And All

Romans 5:3‭-‬4 HCSB “And not only that, but we also rejoice in our afflictions, because we know that affliction produces endurance, endurance produces proven character, and proven character produces hope.”

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________

There’s a saying, “If God brings you to it He will bring you through it.” I believe that saying. No one else knows ALL the troubles you go through, only God. So talk to Him in prayer about them all. Sometimes when you can confide in another person how sweet that fellowship is. They too know what it’s like to go through life’s most humiliating moments, stinky draws and all. Hence they are not looking at you like you’re crazy when you discuss your trials like those who think they’re draws never stink. We haven’t even begun to talk about stinky feet, and how life can be sweet even in the midst of them. This can happen only by the grace of God.😊 He gives us power to endure the worse humiliations. These afflictions actually produce in us endurance, godly character, and a sure hope. This is why we rejoice in the midst of our stinky draws and all.

When life’s smelly moments come your way will you rejoice and praise God in the midst of them? Do you understand why God tells us to do so? Stinky draws and all? (James 1:2-4)

The Finish Line Is Closer Than We Think

The Finish Line Is Closer Than We Think

Hebrews 12:1 KJV “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with PATIENCE the race that is set before us.”

Luke 21:16-19 KJV “And YE SHALL BE BETRAYED both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. [17] And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake. [18] But there shall not an hair of your head perish. [19] In your PATIENCE possess ye your souls.”

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________

A tired man is writing this article? A man who sometimes feels like he has nothing left to give in the tank. Just like some of you feel at times. Yet when I woke up I know it was the Spirit who said to me, “The finished line is closer than you think.” I believe that’s why the race feels so grueling; we’re almost there, we’re almost home.😂

Have you been betrayed by your closest relatives? And by those who pretended to walk with you in the faith? Some of them had us fooled for years. Have you basically been forsaken by everyone? Parents? Brothers? Sisters? Children? Friends? Etcetera?😳 Then you especially know how tough this race is. Isn’t it interesting how they can so easily discard us? The Lord told us this would happen:

Matthew 10:22 LEB “And you will be HATED BY EVERYONE because of my name. But the one who endures to the end—THIS ONE WILL BE SAVED.”

WHEN YOU CAN’T TAKE ANYMORE

2 Corinthians 1:8-10 NLT “We think you ought to know, dear brothers and sisters, about the trouble we went through in the province of Asia. WE WERE CRUSHED AND OVERWHELMED BEYOND OUR ABILITY TO ENDURE, and we thought we would never live through it. [9] In fact, WE EXPECTED TO DIE. But as a result, WE STOPPED RELYING ON OURSELVES AND LEARNED TO RELY ON GOD, who raises the dead. [10] And he did rescue us from mortal danger, and he will rescue us again. We have placed our confidence in him, and he will continue to rescue us.”

“WE STOPPED RELYING ON OURSELVES AND LEARNED TO RELY ON GOD.”😊 That’s what happens when we can’t take anymore; we learn to rely on God, who rescues us again and again. We get to see miracles. Our enemies don’t experience God like this. And some of our associates have not given everything up for Jesus Christ. Some of them are lukewarm at best. So Satan does not viciously attack them. Hence they never experience God’s protection the way we do. Some of our friends say they want heaven and they also want this world’s witchcraft entertainment. They want God’s protection but they are too afraid to offend anyone with the true message about Jesus Christ. When God separates us it happens sometimes to show that not all who profess Jesus are really His:

1 John 2:18‭-‬19 LEB “Children, it is the last hour, and just as you have heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have arisen, by which we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us. But THEY WENT OUT, in order THAT IT MIGHT BE SHOWN THAT ALL OF THEM ARE NOT OF US.”

I know, these are hard words to chew and swallow when they apply to your son or daughter, your mother or father, your husband or wife. Some do come back. Remember the prodigal son? (Luke 15:11-24) Let us hope that God will open their eyes one day.

As we go through life’s challenges and don’t have the familiar faces around to rely on for help it’s ok. God will help us. We will see miracles. He will rescue us again and again. Because you truly serve Jesus the narrow road is tough. (Matthew 7:13-14) But you alo have these assurances:

Romans 8:35‭-‬39 LEB “Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will affliction or distress or persecution or hunger or lack of sufficient clothing or danger or the sword? Just as it is written, “On account of you we are being put to death the whole day long; we are considered as sheep for slaughter.” No, but in all these things we prevail completely through the one who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Luke 21:19 KJV “In your patience possess ye your souls.”
